Afterwards we went for a walk on Doxey marshes (on the edge of Stafford) which was really lovely, we walked out the other side and said,"we're near Sainsbury's supermarket, lets grab a couple of things before going back to the car across the marshes again". So I went in, and Lucy stayed outside with the Dogs. When I came out there was a crowd around where I'd left Lucy and the dogs: In just a couple of minutes, a huge Dogue-de-Bordeux had bounded over (off-lead) and knocked Lucy over whilst she tried to protect our dogs, the owner had then turned up and made an insincere apology before moving his dog away. He was extremely drunk and was probably also on drugs and become very agressive when Lucy said that the dog should have been on a lead (it was next to a main road). He'd then gone inside the store just before I'd come out again. The crowd of people had made sure Lucy was alright before we headed off, as we did so, Sainsbury's security staff had to restrain the drunk when he came out of the store as he got abusive again when he saw us. We then headed back to the car at great speed, fearing he might chase us, as we had to cross a mile or so of marshes and it was getting dark. Luckily we didn't see anymore trouble, but when we got the the car, Lucy's shock was starting to wear off, and she realised she was hurt quite badly in the fall. We then had to spend nearly 3 hours at A&E whilst they made sure she hadn't broken her wrist. Apparently she's just bruised her tendons so she's very sore but should hopefully be okay in a few days. So despite the fun and excitement of the Photo's it was really a day we'd rather forget about. For me the most upsetting thing is that some people can be so nasty when you're just minding your own business, and they cause a problem, but won't accept any sort of responsibility.
