Crufts
Howdy,
After one of the coldest and most snowy winters for many years, we now seem to be experiencing unusually pleasant weather this spring. On one of these mild, sunny and dry days Spider provided me with an ideal photo-opportunity when he jumped up and sat in one of the patio chairs. Very handsome!!

A day or two later, we had to prepare to go to Crufts, as Lucy and Teasel had been asked to help Richard Curtis with one of his heelwork to music demo's, and Skiffle and I had been asked to demo the Puppy level of the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme. Sadly, as we were all a bit of a state, we needed a wash - not a problem for Lucy and me, but Skiffle and Teasel were less impressed...
Still, a great (but tiring) time was had by all. Richard won the UK Freestyle HTM competition, and got a deserved 2nd in the International final as well, and then Lucy helped him with the teaching demonstrations afterwards. Below Teasel and Lucy do one of their signature tricks of waving to each other.

Christmas Period
Forgot to sort out this posting, so I've now got my act together...
Following his 'puppy-strangles' Skiffle was still being weened off his Strong steroids which meant he still didn't have a functioning immune system, which meant he couldn't be allowed on the ground. However, he needed 'socialising' and to view the outside world. We did keep carrying him in our arms, but it eventually got to the point that he was too big and heavy, so we adapted a ruck-sack...

If you hadn't heard the weeks just before and just after the Christmas Period were characterised by unusually cold weather here in the UK. So we 'enjoyed' (not sure that's correct!) some early snow, which Skiff and the other two seemed to enjoy thoroughly...
Our village, Haughton, is well known for it's Christmas Lights ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haughton,_Staffordshire#Christmas_Lights)
So we usually take a walk around - this year I took some photos...
